 COMPLIANCE: STATE HAZARDOUS AIR POLLUTANT PROGRAM

The State Hazardous Air Pollutant (HAP) Program regulates emissions of HAPs from new sources and modifications to existing sources. The following sources are potentially subject to the program:

  1. All sources that have the potential to emit 10 tons per year of a single HAP or 25 tons per year of a combination.
  2. Sources that have the potential to emit 1 ton per year of a single HAP or 2.5 tons per year of a combination and that belong to certain specific industrial categories. A full list of the categories appears at the bottom of this page.

The following documents should be of assistance in determining whether your project is subject to the state HAPs program and, if so, in achieving compliance:
