 MONITORING AND ASSESSMENT: ASSESSMENT

Arizona's Integrated 305(b) Assessment and 303(d) Listing Report describes the status of surface water in Arizona in relation to state water quality standards. The report also contains a list of Arizona's impaired surface waters, including a list of surface waters requiring the development of a Total Maximum Daily Load (the 303(d) List). The report fulfills requirements of the federal Clean Water Act sections 305(b) (assessments), 303(d) (impaired water identification), and 314 (status of lake water quality).

NEW!: ADEQ recently published Arizona's §303(d) list of impaired waters in the Arizona Administrative Register (Leaving ADEQ Web site). The list includes those surface waters in Arizona that ADEQ has identified as not meeting water quality standards. The Notice of Public Information includes ADEQ responses to public comments on the list of impaired waters.
