Amanda Stone directs the Waste Programs Division. The division oversees cleanup at state and federal superfund sites, permits and inspects hazardous and solid waste facilities and activities, promotes waste reduction through pollution prevention and recycling, and facilitates expedited remediation and property reuse through the state's Voluntary Remediation and Brownfields Programs.

Ms. Stone holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Arizona State University and has been with the Department 12 years. During her tenure at ADEQ, Ms. Stone has overseen numerous programs including the Voluntary Remediation Program, the Brownfields Program, Rules and Risk Assessment, and state and federal site assessment programs. Most recently, Ms. Stone served as the Deputy Director of the Waste Programs Division.
