**Notice to Public Water Systems & Other Stakeholders**

2000 Radionuclides Rule

Web Cast Scheduled July 18, 2007

 

On Wednesday, July 18th, ADEQ will host an EPA Web cast entitled,
Radionuclides Rule. This is an opportunity for any water system or
stakeholder to learn the fundamentals about required the radionuclides
monitoring rule. (See the description below for more details.)

The Web cast will be presented at ADEQ, 1110 W. Washington Street,
Phoenix AZ 85007, Conference Room 4001B (4th Floor) from 10 AM to 12:15
PM. Attendees will receive two (2) PDH credits for participation.

Registration is required to reserve your seat and receive handout
materials for the Web cast. To register for the Web cast, host the
presentation at your location, or ask questions, please contact Suzanne

Topics to be covered:

*         The Web cast will introduce the subject and cover the basics
of EPA's 2000 Radionuclides Rule. It is intended for state drinking
water and radiation staff, public water system owners & operators, and
other stakeholders interested in complying with the rule.

*         Topics to be covered in the Web cast include:

*         Overview of the Rule;

*         Treatment options (including a case study on treatment
installation and operation);

*         Residuals generated by treatment;

*         Federal regulations governing residual disposal;

*         Status of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission's (NRC's)
rule-making for drinking water systems; and

*         Worker safety.
